Cures For Lung Cancer
Today's Article
Traditional lung cancer treatments are extremely debilitating. There are alternative methods being looked into by researchers.
Lung cancer happens to be an aggressive cancer that metastasizes quickly to other areas of the body, usually before anyone even knows they have lung cancer. This is why there are no cures for lung cancer.
However, there are ways to slow down the progress of cancer anywhere in the body, and by doing these things, you will be closer on the track to finding cures for lung cancer.
First and foremost, check your diet. You should be eliminating fat and excess sugar from your diet. Another thing to eliminate is red meat. These items have been linked to cancer, and if you have lung cancer, you want to prevent it from spreading. By upping your immune system with the proper diet, and eliminating those items that have been found to cause cancer to grow.
Another thing that would be necessary toward working toward cures for lung cancer is to get rid of anything that might be polluting your environment. Quit smoking. This is a huge factor in causing lung cancer, not only in the ones who smoke, but in those who are around the second-hand smoke.
If you end up with lung cancer, one way to work toward cures for lung cancer would be to do a resection of the lung. This is where they cut out the cancerous parts of the lung in the hopes of preventing it from spreading to other areas of the body. If the cancer has not yet spread, it is a good way to end up cancer free.
The biggest problem with regard to lung cancer is that it isn't often caught soon enough. This is why the biggest way to cure lung cancer would be to pay attention to your body symptoms. If you have a cough that will not go away, get it checked out. If you seem to have a cold that is lasting an inordinate amount of time, you will want to go to the doctor and explain to him or her how long you have had this cold.
Pay attention to whether or not you seem more short of breath lately. If you do, you might want to get an exam and see if perhaps there is more going on.
Getting good sleep, regular exercise, eating right, and being proactive in quitting smoking and any other unhealthy habits will be the best way to fight cancer, before you even get it.
